Dr. Nuñez earned his DMD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was awarded a certificate of recognition for the Pursuit of Excellence in Dental Implants and the Dental Implant Student Award by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and received special recognition for his Pursuit of Excellence in Serving Handicapped and Special Needs Patients.

Dr. Nuñez recently became an Associate Master of the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics and a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. His extensive training enables him to place implants on the same day as an extraction.
