Dr. Humberto Nuñez Gil, DMD, MAGD, LLSR, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2014. Born and raised in Cuba, he began his dental career after graduating from the University of Havana in 2006. Throughout his career, Dr. Nuñez has participated in numerous international mission trips providing dental care to underserved communities. He has received several distinctions, including recognition for the Pursuit of Excellence in Dental Implants and the Dental Implant Student Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Nuñez is a Diplomate of the Academy of GP Orthodontics, a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He currently serves as President of the Rio Grande District Dental Society and is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. His advanced training in implant dentistry allows him to provide same-day implant placement in extraction sites as well as comprehensive restorative and orthodontic care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Nuñez enjoys reading, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. He met his wife, Dr. Crystal, during a continuing education orthodontic course, and together they founded Westlake Family Dentistry. Together they remain committed to providing compassionate, modern, and patient-centered dental care to the Rio Grande Valley community.
